QUESTION: What locations do you coach at?
ANSWER: We currently coach at the Browns Bay Racquets Club and Herne Bay Rackets Club in Auckland. Coaching is open to members and non-members. If you would like us to set up a programme at your club please get in touch.
QUESTION: How can I get graded to play competitive matches, interclub and tournaments?
ANSWER: If you would like to be graded, please contact us and we can set this up for you. If you have been a part of one of our coaching programmes before, we should know what to grade you as.
QUESTION: How can I pay for my coaching programme?
ANSWER: Payments can either be made by cash or online banking. Please make payment by cash at first session of the programme, or if by online banking, prior to the first session or the programme.
QUESTION: Do you have the best prices?
ANSWER: We have the best prices in New Zealand, guaranteed. If you see a lower price please let us know and we will match it.
QUESTION: How long will it take for my order to arrive?
ANSWER: If all items of your order are in stock it will take approximately 3-5 business days to arrive with you if you live in New Zealand. If you need your order sooner, please contact us and we can deliver overnight for an extra $3 shipping cost.
QUESTION: Why should I buy from Double Dot Squash and not somewhere else?
ANSWER: We stock a large number of products, and offer the best prices! We can offer expert advise on all of the brands and products in our store, and we have tried and tested the products ourselves. We support many squash players, coaches, clubs and events around the country and are operated locally in New Zealand, by New Zealanders.
QUESTION: Do you stock all of the products listed on your website?
ANSWER: We stock the majority of products listed on our website. However, some apparel items and shoe sizes may not always be available as there are a large number of different products in these categories and many different sizes. If your item is unavailable we will contact you to advise you and let you know an expected arrival date.
QUESTION: Where do you ship to?
ANSWER: Our website is set up to ship within New Zealand and also to Australia, USA, Canada, UK, China and Hong Kong. If you want something delivered to a different country, please send us an email and we will try to arrange this with you.
QUESTION: Can I demo a racquet before I purchase it?
ANSWER: Yes. Send us an email and we can arrange a time for you to demo a racquet at one of our clubs.
QUESTION: Can I view or try on a product before I purchase it?
ANSWER: Yes. Send us an email and we can arrange a time for you to view or try on the product at one of our clubs.
QUESTION: When should I change my racquet grip?
ANSWER: Your racquet grip should be changed once it starts slipping in your hand or showing wear. If you play several times per week, you should probably change your grip once a month.
QUESTION: When should I change my racquet strings?
ANSWER: Strings should be changed when they break or lose tension. Over time strings lose tension, so generally should be replaced every year the number of times you play per week, or when they break. For example, if you play three times a week, you should replace your strings at least three times per year.
QUESTION: When should I change my squash shoes?
ANSWER: Over time the soles in indoor shoes will lose cushioning and support due to the nature of the fast impacting movements in squash will wear over time. For the best comfort and support shoes should be replaced around every eight months if you are a competitive squash player, but if you don't play too often, they will last for longer.
