Our coaching method is to evolve total body movement and the mind. Total body movement encompasses all forms of movement from swing technique, court movement, body form and positioning, balance, and other athletic attributes. The mind is just as important as total body movement. This includes preparation, mindset, decision making, goal setting, successful thinking, progression planning, and many other areas.
Evolving the fundamental elements of effective total body movement, and a strong mind develops the most successful squash athlete.
Our Athlete Methods
During coaching and training sessions we teach our athletes methods to use during our three programme elements of Learn, Train, and Compete. Athletes are expected to follow our core values and ensure they have prepared properly before every time they step on court to ensure they can achieve the best possible result.
Our Core Values
Our core values are the foundation of everything we do. We expect all of our team, coaches, and athletes to uphold these values at all times. In coaching, training, competitions, and off the court these values lead us in the right direction and ensure success.
Our Programme Structure
Our programme consists of three elements. Learn, Train, and Compete.
Any athlete that wants to achieve the best level of success in their squash needs to be participating in activities in all of these three areas as each provides a different way of learning and improving, and each element being crucial in any athlete improving right through to those performing at the top level.
Individual Coaching. Learning and evolving proper techniques, movement, and the mind. This coaching is customised for the individual. Four different packages are available with varying offerings. Individual Coaching is focused around the individual and their unique goals and progression.
Group squad training. Practicing and refining skills, sequences, strategies, tactics, condition games, matchplay, and putting what you have learnt in your Individual Coaching into practice. The squad training sessions will help reinforce, refine, and repeat learnings, allowing players to practice their skills in a group environment before bringing them into competitive matchplay. There are four levels available based on the players current level and grade.
Various tournaments and competition options are available to put everything you have learnt and trained into action.
For juniors under 1500 points the is the Double Dot Squash Junior Tournament Series consisting of monthly Main Tournaments Booster Tournaments.
For juniors over 1500 points and all levels or seniors there are open and senior tournaments available to join. The Double Dot Squash Junior Tournament Series details and our list of recommended open and senior tournaments can be found under the Compete tab menu.
