Maia Smales makes it 10 wins in a row

Double Dot Squash Ambassador Maia Smales has had an excellent start to the 2018 season so far! She has competed in numerous tournaments with great results including winning her division at the Herne Bay Ponsonby Rackets Club Open and finishing third in her division at the Henderson Squash Club Open and Auckland Open Closed PSA. She has moved up to C1 and after recently beating her first B grader and being on a 10 match win streak she is just a few points away from B grade! She competed for Squash Auckland in the Quadrangular Competition winning all of her matches and helping the Auckland team towards their victory for the ninth year in a row.

Maia is also working hard on her training and fitness in between tournaments to ensure her continued improvement. She trains several times a week to continue to improve her squash skills and techniques. She joins the weekly Double Dot Squash Junior Club Night at the Henderson Squash Club to practice her skills in a group situation, while having fun with her fellow Henderson junior members.
