Double Dot Squash Academy Athlete Claims Auckland Most Improved Award

Double Dot Squash Academy Athlete Ross Jowsey of the Browns Bay Racquets Club has been named the 2017 Squash Auckland Most Improved Junior Boy at the recent Squash Auckland Annual Awards Evening at the Herne Bay Ponsonby Rackets Club in Auckland.

Over the past year Ross has improved by over 1900 points on the Squash New Zealand Grading List. For the majority of the year he has held the number one position in Auckland and New Zealand for the most points improvement out of all squash players, as well as the most matches played and won.

To achieve this improvement Ross has shown an excellent work ethic and dedication to his squash over the past year, having only been playing squash for under two years! Ross competes in the Squash Auckland Senior Interclub Competition weekly, and tournaments most weekends. He is a member of the Double Dot Squash Academy coached by Jarrod van Driel, and attends all other Double Dot Squash Programmes available to him including Individual Coaching.

Congratulations to Sara Lowe and Stuart Donald from the Browns Bay Racquets Club for being awarded as the Squash Auckland Most Improved Female and Male respectively.
